Press Release "Citizen Clown"
Lars Bent Petersen's new work Citizen Clown will be presented in IMO’s intimate exhibition space Phonebox. The mechanical sculpture consists of a clown's nose in latex, a three-headed blind face, a Louis Vuitton bag and two triangles in red and blue. Lars Bent Petersen says that "the work stems from the feeling of being ridiculed and of being mocked as a political subject in a democracy. The work is an expressive mixture of the complex and confusing situation of today, in which it is no longer possible – from a subjective point of view – to think objectively and structurally".
